OUR STORY
Pita Basket began as a family-owned business in 2004.
At just 13 years old, Chef Ro started working alongside his older brother, learning the foundations of traditional Lebanese cooking, hospitality, and the restaurant industry from the ground up.
Over the years, what started as helping in the kitchen turned into a true passion. From perfecting recipes and experimenting with flavours to focusing on presentation and customer experience, Chef Ro became known for doing things differently—always pushing for quality, consistency, and unforgettable food.
In 2015, at only 21 years old, Chef Ro opened his own location in Airdrie with a vision of bringing a modern twist to traditional Lebanese cuisine.
Today, Chef Ro's Pita Basket has become one of Alberta's most recognized Lebanese food spots—known for bold flavours, viral crispy shawarma wraps, generous portions, and a high-energy atmosphere that keeps customers coming back from all over Calgary and Airdrie.
From authentic Lebanese classics to modern street-food inspired creations, every dish is made with passion, precision, and pride.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
